Organisation
Management Group
A Management Group has the overall leadership of EyeNet Sweden. In the Management Group there are representatives from the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, associated registries, the Swedish Ophthalmological Society and the Operational Group of EyeNet Sweden. The Management Group meets at least once a year.
Operational Group
The Operational Group consists of the head of the centre, quality coordinators, system administrator, research secretary, epidemiologist, biostatistician and experts on IT-solutions. The group gives support, education and backing during the process of registry construction and quality improvement and also helps with presentations of reports and scientific analyses.
IT
IT-development and support is delivered by use of co-operating companies. EyeNet Sweden has long-term agreements with the IT department at Blekinge Hospital concerning technical platform, service and support. EyeNet Sweden has also long-term agreements with two IT-companies for developing of existing and new quality registries.
Associated experts
Experts in epidemiology, health economy and public health are associated with EyeNet Sweden.
Economy
EyeNet Sweden is financed through funding from the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. The county of Blekinge contributes with partial appointments and office. Furthermore, some of EyeNet Sweden’s commissions have their own financing.
